U19 Netball Tournament @ Braeburn
The first U19 Netball Tournament of this academic year was a great success. Despite the rain, Braeburn still managed to host the 4 schools that attended which included Turi,BGE,Braeside and St Christopher's.
Our A team got into the new netball dresses and were ready for their first match against the Turi A team. Unfortunately, the girls came out with a loss but went on to win the rest of the group stage matches against Braeside, the Turi B team and the BGE B team.
The Braeburn B team won against St Christopher’s but were sadly knocked out from the group stages.
On advancing into the semifinals, the Braeburn A team were against the Turi B team and gained another victory. BGE played against the Turi A team in the other semifinals and Turi won that match.The finals was now set to be played by our A team against Turi A.
After an intense 2 halves of 7 minutes, the Braeburn girls were triumphant.
