9th March 2024
On Thursday 7th March we hosted a very special event for a select group of students, their parents and their teachers. Following last year’s AS, IGCSE and BTec results, both Pearson and Cambridge Examinations Boards award their ‘Outstanding Learners’ Award’ for those students who excel in public examinations. Amongst our distinguished guests were Mr John Herbert, Chief Secondary Education Office and Mrs Puja Khagram, Group Secondary Assessment and Curriculum Manager who were delighted to endorse the achievement of so many of our students.
This year, Braeburn School Secondary students received six such awards:
Top in the World
Dongfei Zhang Cambridge IGCSE - Foreign Language Mandarin Chinese
Top in Kenya
Esther Mumbi Nguyo Cambridge International AS Level - Biology
Esther Mumbi Nguyo Cambridge International AS Level - History
Chloe Iraba Cambridge IGCSE - Foreign Language - French
Jasmine Nyambura Parmena - IGCSE - Physical Education
Maximum Marks Awarded
Shannon Bell Pearson BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma - Sport
This recognition, so richly deserved, will support our students as they continue their tertiary education. It confirms their diligence, dedication and hard work. Congratulations to all students, parents and teachers and thank you for a lovely evening. We are immensely proud of you all.
