Parent-Teacher Collaboration Workshops

17th January 2023

This term Early Years and Key Stage 1 are focusing on promoting healthy eating and nutrition for our pupils. With this in mind, on Tuesday 17th January, Ms. Bushell (Year 1 class teacher) and Mrs. Mihajlovic (assistant head teacher) welcomed parents from the Early Years, Year 1 and Year 2, into the Braeburn Theatre. There they had a presentation and discussion on healthy snack options, the importance of nutrition in young children’s growth and development, as well as ways in which we can talk with children about food.

It was wonderful to see such a large turnout of parents and teachers, engaging in an open discussion on how best to support our children both in and out of school. This parent-teacher partnership is sure to have a positive impact in ensuring that we are all more mindful about the importance of health and nutrition in the foundation stages years.
