“Overall, the Year 9 settling-in evening was a very informative and engaging event. Students and parents left feeling confident and excited about the year ahead”

It was great to see so many parents attend the Year 9 settling-in evening on Thursday The Dining Hall was packed with a vibrant energy of teachers and parents ready to share in the Year 9 students' success for the packed year ahead.

The evening began with a warm welcome from Ms Borwell, followed by Mrs Jackson who discussed a range of topics regarding student wellbeing and the use of social media both in and out of school. Mr Manning and Mr Welch closely followed with a range of academic considerations for future iGCSE choices and the importance of CAT4 and their role in student progress. The evening was finalised with an Infinity Outdoors presentation on the upcoming Year 9 residential trip and Ms Monks presenting a range of approaching leadership opportunities.

We were also honoured to have two musical performances by Dhara Shah and Debora Odongo performing Ave Verum Corpus by Mozart and Mathew Ngunjiri performing Changing Times by Heather Hammond.

Thank you so much to everyone who attended and for the range of productive conversations about Year 9 progress and transition into secondary school. We look forward to welcoming you in Week 11 for the Year 9 Parents Teacher consultation.
