Remembrance Sunday

13th November 2022

For the second year in a row, The Braeburn Scouts were invited to participate in this year’s Remembrance Sunday event at the Nairobi War Memorial Graves along Ngong Road. Twenty-six scouts converged at the venue ready to be part of this reflective event. Together with the military from many Commonwealth nations, as well as World War 2 veterans, Braeburn Scouts laid two wreaths to show their respect to the contributions made by soldiers during the wars.

A few scouts shared their observations about this day:

"It is important to observe Remembrance Day as a lot of soldiers fought to save our country, to protect us and some died to keep our country safe." Arth

‘’It is important to observe Remembrance Day because we learn and appreciate the soldiers more and have respect for them." Evie

"...we need to honour and remember the soldiers that fought in the war." Morife
