Rumble in the Jungle

Rumble in the Jungle

As part of the Year 1 Geography Curriculum, we have been learning about jungles around the world. We wanted to support the children's studies by creating a special 'Rumble in the Jungle Day' to consolidate the learning, engage pupils' interest and to learn more fun information about jungles. During this day the pupils were given the opportunity to explore small world jungles to role play with animals and vegetation. A special jungle area was created for the pupils to read fun and exciting jungle themed books to help them learn more. The pupils were very creative throughout the day through making their own animal masks and their own mini shoe box jungle. We finished the day with some animal dances, looking at the range of difficult animals in the jungle, their habitats and how they move. All in all, a very fun and lovely day.
