‘Science Outside of the Classroom’ with Year 7

8th May 2025

On May 8th, Year 7 pupils had an exciting educational visit to the Apollo Science Park, where they explored the real-world applications of scientific concepts. Led by Mr. Ngumi and his team, the day was packed with engaging activities and hands-on experiments that brought their classroom learning to life.

Highlights included interactive demonstrations of body systems, thrilling experiments, and a fascinating look at the evolution of phones and computing technology. In the Solomon's Treasure section, pupils learned about rock formation processes and examined various rock types up close. The experience deepened their understanding of Earth science in an unforgettable way.

In addition to science, pupils also explored agricultural practices, gaining first-hand experience in tea and coffee harvesting. The day concluded with a fun and challenging walk through the park’s beautifully designed maze — a perfect end to a day full of discovery and learning.
