Secondary End of Year Celebration Assembly
8th July 2022
The final week of term saw us sum up the term both with a successful Speech Day and Prizegiving and a memorable final celebration assembly. At the assembly, there were awards given for academics, Approach to Learning achievement, Drama, Extra-Curricular Activities and Sport.
Many student names were celebrated and it was especially nice to hear new names that had not been featured previously.
The BTEC team also organised a great end-of-term event, namely 'THE BTEC INTERHOUSE GAMES". This was a student-organised and driven event. It was an organisational learning experience and one which the BTEC students greatly learned from.
As we end the year, the students were reminded about the Michelle Obama speech that was presented to them at the beginning of the year. 'WHO ARE YOU GOING TO BE". It made them think more about their character development rather than their academic performance.
A good lesson for life!
I finally wish everyone a restful and enjoyable break for July and August and we look forward to seeing you for the new academic year 2022-23.
