Secondary Valentines Fair

Our fundamental aim, not just as the Valentine's Fair committee but as the Braeburn student body, is to raise funds for the community service club. The money raised will be directed towards two separate
causes, one being to support a school in Kibera that has unjustly suffered from the subsequently been forced to relocate into a public space used by other individuals in that community. The second cause that we will be supporting is an initiative known as trees4goals that is run by one of my peers, as well as an Environmentalist, known as Lesein Mutunkei. His initiative's aim is that 'for every goal he scores he plants 11 trees'. Up to date tree4goals has been responsible for the planting of over 2000 trees including some in Karura forest. As the revolutionary Dr. Martin Luther King once said, and I quote, ‘Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.’
