Setting Personal Bests at the Nairobi Level 2 Swimming Championships

12th February 2023

Braeburn once again exhibited a great performance at the Nairobi Swimming Championships held at Makini School on February 11th and 12th, this time in the level 2 competition. With over 16 swimming clubs that took part, The Braeburn Swimming Team emerged top in both the boys and girls categories.

Ema (Year 3) and Caitlyn (Year 5) came first in one of their races, while Berenice (Year 5) came first in almost all of her races. She recorded a personal best that saw her qualify, alongside others, for the Level 3 Championships slated for 25th and 26th February. Those who qualify from the Level 3 event will represent Kenya in Dubai at a swimming event set for June.

When interviewed by the sports desk at KTN News, Berenice had this to say “I’ve improved my time, and I’m actually really happy about it.” A full report can be found at https://youtu.be/H5ynw44TcJ4

Well done to the entire Braeburn Swimming Team, and a massive thank you to the swimming coaches for their tireless efforts in preparing our swimmers for their numerous events.
