Setting The Tone for The Creative Work Ahead

9th May 2026

This term, our Year 9.5 Art students have made an exciting start to their coursework journey. With fresh sketchbooks in hand, they have begun creating their introductory pages, setting the tone for the creative work ahead.

In these early stages, learners are taking time to understand their chosen themes and what they truly represent. They are exploring different meanings, asking thoughtful questions, and learning how to break big ideas into smaller, manageable concepts. This process is helping them to plan clearly and develop a strong direction for their coursework.

Our Art Studio has been full of energy and focus. With paints, markers, brushes, and a range of materials, students have been experimenting confidently, testing techniques, and beginning to build their first visual responses. Each page shows the start of a personal journey, where imagination meets careful planning.

It has been wonderful to see such enthusiasm, teamwork, and creativity as the students begin shaping their new coursework books. We look forward to watching their ideas grow into meaningful and impressive final outcomes over the coming weeks.
