As part of the Sixth Form Wellness Day the students took part in a photo scavenger hunt. Once placed in groups chosen by the senators (with the intention of having Year 12 and 13 get to know each other better) they were given different categories that they needed to capture. The categories were as follows:

  • Leaves
  • Dappled light
  • Animals/animal tracks
  • Wild Flowers
  • Trees/fallen trees/branches
  • Birds
  • Stones/pebbles/rocks
  • Fungus/mushrooms
  • Butterflies
  • Interesting views of the sky
  • Insects
  • Seeds/berries
  • Feathers

The students captured some amazing photographs that demonstrated a range of creativity, focus and composition. After much deliberation the three winners are:

1st Place: Leo Jones (Y13)

2nd Place: Sanjana Ghose (Y13)

3rd Place: Kalkidan Estifanos (Y12)

Congratulations to the top three winners. Their photographs, along with the eight shortlisted candidates will be framed and put in the common room for all to see.

The three winning students will also receive 20 House points and a snack of their choice from the tuck shop. I look forward to our next trip out into nature together!
