It was an intriguing experience out at Oshwal academy with the under 15 girls cricket team. While the team did not bring home a win, they held their own against the league leaders. The girls managed 35 runs in the game, with remarkable progress showing in their ability to bat and bowl. Always a learning experience with this team. It’s exciting to be on this path of growth.

The U15 netball girls secured an impressive 21–16 win against Jafferys in what proved to be a thrilling and competitive match. From the first whistle, both teams showed determination and skill, but it was our girls’ composure under pressure that made the difference.
Despite Jafferys’ strong defensive play and quick turnovers, the team remained focused and consistent throughout the game. Their teamwork, sharp passing, and relentless defence helped them maintain control and build momentum as the match progressed.
In the final quarter, the girls demonstrated great resilience, holding their lead and showing the confidence and tactical awareness that has been growing all season.
This well-deserved victory adds three crucial points to the league table and highlights the team’s continued improvement and determination. The result is a testament to their hard work, unity, and commitment to success.

The U15s took part in a league match against Rusinga school in what was an entertaining Gitanga Road derby. The boys started off well showing great link up play and progressing well into the opposition half. Rusinga started to pick up motion later in the first half and we’re creating lots of chances on goal. After a half time team talk the boys re-strategised with a change in formation. Braeburn were on the front foot until late in the game where Rusinga scored with 5 minutes to go. The boys did not give up however and continued to push through. We took the risk to play a more attacking style. In the last minutes of the game Mohamed made a fantastic run twisting and turning through the other team before laying it off to Eli who managed to control the ball and show great composure to score in the top right corner. The game ended as a 1-1 draw.
