27th September 2025

The Under 19 Girls had their season opener this past Wednesday, in their league match against Brookhouse Karen. It was quite the encounter, beginning with a tense first quarter as the team struggled to find their balance and only hitting the net in the eighth minute. Nevertheless, the rest of the game truly portrayed our prowess, with collaborative efforts across the pitch culminating in a 24-11 win in Braeburn’s favour. Great show from the team! We are excited for further encounters ahead.

U15 Boys Cricket vs Peponi @ Peponi

The Boys U15 cricket game just ended. Much more improvement is needed, but a great mentality and fight altogether from the boys. The boys had 27 runs. Mikael, Xiao, Tanaka, and Aryan are the standout players. We move on not with our heads high with hunger and desire for our next game.

U19 Boys Football Tournament @ Hillcrest - Saturday 27th September 2025

At the time of publishing this newsletter - the U19 boys are still playing hard in this tournament. What I can share is my pride in them, as they represented Braeburn High School this morning. When I left to return to school, they had already achieved a convincing 2-0 win against Hillcrest. Their determination, commitment, dedication and collaboration shone through. Well done to their coaches Mr Yiminyi and Coach Betty who are with them every kick of the way! Boys, whatever the outcome, you are a wonderful team, who show up and work hard. We are proud of you - well done!

FIFA Coach Educator Development Program – Morocco

I am pleased to share insights from the recently concluded FIFA Coach Educator Development Program held in Morocco. This program brought together coach educators from across the continent, creating a platform to strengthen knowledge, share experiences, and align with international coaching education standards.

Purpose of the Program

The program was designed to:

  • Enhance the competency of coach educators in line with FIFA standards.
  • Promote modern methodologies in coach education.
  • Foster collaboration and networking among member associations.
  • Support the development of grassroots and elite-level coaching.

I am looking forward to implementing my new skills with the teams at Braeburn School!
