U15 boys B had their first game of the season playing against Brookhouse Karen. They tried their best despite being quite nervous at the beginning. After a few minutes the boys were a lot more confident and played some good football from there on. The defence was solid but unfortunately were caught with a defensive error for the first goal and a counter attack. The game ended a 2-0 loss. Lots to work on but many positives to take back.

The U15A girls delivered an impressive performance in their first league match against Brookhouse Karen, securing a commanding 20-5 victory. The team's cohesion was evident, particularly in the way the new Year 9 players connected seamlessly with the more experienced Year 10s. The Year 10s not only showcased their skills but also stepped up as leaders on the court, guiding their younger teammates effectively. It was great to see the team play with such unity and determination, making for an exciting and well-deserved win. Excited for the season ahead! 😊

The U15B girls netball match was an eye-opening and yet exciting encounter this afternoon. After an uncertain start, the girls found their rhythm in the second quarter and continued to thrive in skill and scores for the remainder of the game. It was intriguing to witness the team members discover new positions where they play best and others cement what has been their strength. The game ended in a hard-earned 9-8 win. Lovely show from the team! Looking forward to more ahead.

Last Saturday the under 19 girls participated in our very own Annual BGR netball U19 tournament. It was an intense encounter from start to finish, with the A girls team battling out against BGE, Braeside, and Brookhouse Runda to finish top in their pool. In what was one of the most exacting matches of the day, the team won the semis against Peponi school, setting up for a final versus BGE. The girls finished second, a narrow 8-7 loss culminating in a silver. We are very proud of this team, as this was the first competitive encounter they have had in a while. Well done, girls!
