U15 Boys Hockey v Braeside and St Andrews Turi
The boys unfortunately have not been successful in their hockey campaign today. Their first match playing Turi which resulted in a 5-0 defeat but a much better match against Braeside although again we were unfortunate and conceded a goal in the last 30 seconds of the game. 1-0 to Braeside.

Braeburn Girls' Football: A nail biting 5-4 win!
Last week, our girls' football team delivered a heart-stopping performance against Makini, clinching a 5-4 victory in a match that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. It was a true testament to skill, determination, and the power of teamwork.
Braeburn's offensive line started strong, with Stephie and Nerry finding the net early on. Alix and Tara contributed crucial goals, and two more strikes highlighted the team's attacking prowess. Our strikers including Aryana, working in perfect harmony with the midfield, created numerous opportunities and kept Makini's defense under constant pressure. Makini, however, fought back fiercely, scoring four goals and making for a tense and exciting finish.
Our defensive line, consisting of Anissa, Enzi, Omayra, and Wawi, displayed remarkable resilience, working tirelessly to hold off Makini's advances. Ayda and Akuc were instrumental in defensive midfield, effectively disrupting Makini's plays and providing essential support to the defense. Linda and Laura also made significant contributions on the wings, adding to both the team's offensive and defensive efforts. And let’s not forget the twins, Nerry and Stephie. Their on-field understanding was exceptional. There were moments of seamless passes and coordinated plays, showcasing the unique synergy they share.
A crucial part of our victory was the outstanding performance of our goalkeeper Malaika . She worked tirelessly, making several key saves and showing incredible focus under pressure. Her hard work was vital in securing the win.
This victory was not just a result of the players' efforts, but also a testament to the dedication and guidance of our fantastic coaches. Ms. Kaloki, Ms. Muugi, and Coach Betty worked tirelessly with the team, providing expert training, strategic guidance, and unwavering support. Their dedication to developing the girls' skills and fostering a strong team spirit was evident throughout the match.
The team's unity and determination were evident throughout the match. It was a hard-fought victory, and we are immensely proud of the girls' dedication, performance, and the exceptional coaching they received. Congratulations to the entire team and our amazing coaches!
