Sports' Update

2nd November 2024

On Wednesday, 30th October, Braeburn Garden Estate hosted Track Meet 2, featuring four schools: Braeburn Garden Estate, Braeburn Gitanga Road, Braeburn Lavington, and Hillcrest.

The events included the 1500m, 800m, 400m, 200m, and 100m races, along with the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. Braeburn Gitanga Road athletes excelled in the U19 boys’ 1500m, where Kaiser Falcony secured first place, and in the U19 girls’ 800m, with Ammie Katta also taking the top spot. In the other races, our athletes placed 2nd, 3rd, or 4th. Well done, Braeburn Athletes!

This meet provided a valuable opportunity to assess our athletes’ strengths and areas for improvement as we prepare for the upcoming Braeburn Athletics’ event on 22nd November. The athletes’ overall performance, especially in the relays, has room for growth. We’ll focus on enhancing their performance in the remaining days with additional training and motivation.
