Sports’ Update - W4 🏉🏉🏀🏀

17th May 2025

The U15s took part in the Cup friendly against a competitive Peponi side. We played 2 half’s of 15 minutes for what was a very exciting game full of constant action. BGR couldn’t hold out to the end and concede a try in the last play of the game, but overall it was a great effort. The scores ended 33-37, with our try scorers being Masaibitwe, Spencer, and Kuya. Both teams were happy to continue playing and went on for another 15 minutes. Again, it was a tightly contested match, but BGR were well structured and played good Rugby. In this game, the score ended 29-24.

A fantastic start to the season as the U15 Girls stormed to victory against Braeside in their first basketball league game. With great teamwork, relentless energy, and great effort from every player on the court, the team set the tone for what promises to be an exciting season ahead.

U15 Girls 7-Aside tournament @ Brookhouse Runda

The U15 girls' rugby team participated in the opening tournament of the season, hosted at Brookhouse Runda. For most of the team, this was their debut in competitive contact rugby, thus a cause for much excitement and anxiety. It was a tough tournament, but inherently enlightening, being an opportunity to identify the strengths we will build upon and the issues we intend to address. Congratulations, Laura Masika, for the first of many tries to come, and Stephanie Omino on what is no doubt a journey of limitless conversions.
