5th October 2024
Both the U11 boys and girls football teams delivered great performances at the St. Christopher's Tournament, held on Saturday, 5th October, showcasing their skill, determination and team spirit.
The boys began their campaign with a hard-fought 0-0 draw, showing early resilience. They quickly bounced back, securing impressive victories: a 2-0 win, a 2-1 triumph, and a solid 1-0 victory in the quarter-finals. However, the semi-finals proved to be a closely contested battle, with the boys narrowly losing 1-0 to Hillcrest.
The girls' team also enjoyed a strong tournament, finishing at the top of their group. With one win, two draws, and just one loss, they advanced to the quarter-finals, where they showcased a formidable defence and held their opponents, St.Austins, to a goalless finish. In the end, even a 2-3 loss in penalties did not deter the team’s spirits, and they went on to cheer the boys in the semi-final game.
Both U11 teams displayed exceptional effort and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Thanks to the parents, coaches and teachers who showed up to support our players!
