Student Language Leaders

16th November 2024

Meet our new Language Leaders for this half-term and the following half-term of Term 2!

This is a new initiative and I am very excited to be working alongside these wonderful students. Being a language leader will entail encouraging the celebration of all the different languages spoken on our campus. Language leaders will be available for students to approach and discuss any celebrations they would like to be highlighted in school in relation to their native language. Language leaders will also help put together presentations and competitions to celebrate different languages and cultures. We want to put Braeburn, Gitanga road on the map for languages and are looking forward to hearing from all our students on how we can achieve this!

Please feel free to approach these Language leaders if there's anything you'd like to share/celebrate/compete in. We are open to all suggestions!

You will spot our Language leaders around campus wearing an orange lanyard but hopefully, these wonderful photos will help you put a face to the names!

For Y9, we have Ipsa and Christie.

For Y10 we have Jisu and Dhara.

For Y11 we have Sandra, Nemie, and Sarah Diane.

For Y12 we have Chloe.

And in Y13 we have Milla and Shekinah.

Everyone has the opportunity to become a language leader as we will be changing every term. Students just need to fill out the form which will be sent to their form group Google Classroom.
