Sunday Funday: A Perfect Start to the New School Year!

On Sunday, September 1st, Braeburn School kicked off the new school year with a lively and fun-filled event hosted by FAB (Friends at Braeburn), our parent support group. Held on the Braeburn School field from 12 to 3 pm, the picnic welcomed new families and reunited familiar faces as everyone gathered to celebrate the beginning of another exciting year.
A variety of delicious treats and snacks were available for purchase, but some also brought their own treats to share! The Lekker Food Truck served up irresistible Dutch snacks, while Brown’s Cheese and Delia’s Ice Cream added some local flavour to the day. It was a feast that catered to all tastes!
For the little and big ones too, the field was transformed into a playground of delight. With bouncy castles, Zorb balls, and a range of games; there was no shortage of entertainment. Laughter echoed across the field as children enjoyed the activities, making new friends along the way.
Adding a practical touch to the day, the first LOST PROPERTY SALE of the year was held. Parents had the chance to purchase used uniforms and other items at unbeatable prices, a fun favourite for all parents!
Sunday Funday was the perfect blend of fun, food, and community spirit, setting a joyful tone for the year ahead. We can't wait to see what else this school year has in store!
