12th November 2025
On Wednesday, 12th November, our Year 6 pupils brought language learning to life during a vibrant Swahili Fashion Show! The classroom was transformed into a colourful runway as the children proudly modelled their stylish outfits while describing them confidently — all in Swahili.
Each pupil had the chance to showcase their creativity and speaking skills by introducing themselves and explaining what they were wearing. From shati la bluu (a blue shirt) to viatu vyeusi (a pair of black shoes), the pupils impressed everyone with their pronunciation and growing vocabulary.
The activity was not only fun but also an excellent way for students to apply what they have been learning in their Swahili lessons. It helped build their confidence in speaking, listening, and using descriptive language naturally in a real-life context.
Well done to all our young models and language learners for putting on such an entertaining and educational show! Hongereni wote!
