21st March 2026
It has been a massive few weeks for the House point leaderboard. Between literary costumes and court-side dominance, every house has been stepping up to show what they’re made of. Here is the breakdown of action this half term.

We kicked off our celebrations with Book Week, and the competitive spirit was palpable from the very first form time. Students put their literary knowledge to the ultimate test during our daily Interhouse Book Quizzes testing their knowledge on everything from the classics to modern bestsellers.
The week culminated in a spectacle of style: the Interhouse Book Character Theme Fashion Show. The runway transformed as students stepped out of reality and into the shoes of their favorite characters. From meticulously crafted fantasy armor to iconic period costumes, the houses brought stories to life with incredible flair. It wasn't just about the costumes; it was about the house pride and the effort put into bringing those stories to life. Seeing the sheer variety of characters on the catwalk was a fantastic way to wrap up the week.
A special thank you goes out to William Odallo (Y13), aka DJ OD, for setting the tone and keeping the energy high throughout with incredible sounds that elevated the entire experience.

Last week, the Sixth Formers took center stage to kick off their Spirit Week with a Mixed Interhouse Netball Tournament. The energy on the court was electric, but one house stood head and shoulders above the rest.
Walcott House delivered a masterclass in teamwork, securing a clean win by taking down every single opponent they faced. Their coordination was seamless, but individual brilliance also shone through.
Match Highlights:
● Winners: Walcott (Undefeated)
● MVPs: Prince Kigen
It was the perfect way to ignite the Spirit Week fire, proving that the bond within the houses is stronger than ever.
March 14th wasn't just about dessert; it was about data! To celebrate Pi Day, our mathematicians gathered for the Interhouse Math Quizzes the following Monday. It was heartening to see students from all year groups tackling complex problems with such enthusiasm.
Whether it was calculating circumferences or solving logic puzzles, the houses displayed impressive mental gymnastics. A huge well done to everyone who participated, it was a resounding success and a testament to the academic talent we have in our ranks.
The term isn't over yet! We have one final battle to settle the score this term.
Our final Interhouse competition of the season will be Interhouse Hockey, taking place on the field at 1:30 PM. Year 9s and 10s: You are required to come to school in your House Shirts on Monday. Let’s finish the term with the same intensity we started with!
A Heartfelt Farewell to Our Leaders
As we approach the end of the term, we must take a moment to look toward our senior leaders. Our Senior House Captains are officially moving into their exam season, marking the end of their incredible leadership tenure.
A massive Thank You goes out to:
Thank you for your tireless hard work, your ability to motivate the younger years, and for bleeding your house colors in every event. You have set a high bar for those following in your footsteps. We wish you the absolute best of luck with your upcoming exams!
