26th January 2023
In November, Terrell Adjagba (Year 7) attended the COBIS (Council of British International Schools) Global and Social Leaders weekend, where she enrolled for the World Catalyst course. This course is intended for students who are starting their journey in becoming social leaders.
During the three-day virtual course, Terrell, alongside other students from around the world, developed their leadership skills and learned about the United Nations Global Goals. They also discussed local and global issues, explored their diverse ideas and opinions, built confidence in themselves, connected with other students from COBIS schools around the world, and became a part of a global social movement.
On the 26th of January, all the students who took part in the course came together to celebrate their achievements at a virtual graduation ceremony. Terrell was accompanied by her friends and classmates from Braeburn, and was celebrated as she received her certificate.
It is quite inspiring to see Braeburn students such as Terrell become aspirational social leaders who are passionate about getting involved in impacting change in our community. A huge congratulations to Terrell, we look forward to seeing her in action!
