The Braeburn Music Festival

On Wednesday 22nd February, 14 schools gathered at the Braeburn Theatre for the annual Braeburn Music Festival. The choirs were composed of children from Years 3 and 4, with each school performing two songs. The Braeburn junior choir were first on stage during the first session and sang the upbeat song 'Spring in our Step'. They were first again during the second session, singing their second song 'Whisper!', a song that gained a resounding applause from the audience.
At the end of the event, all choirs stood up and sang a communal song 'Cool to be Kind'. It was beautiful listening to around 300 children singing together and enjoying each other's styles of music.
All in all, it was a very memorable experience for all who participated and will hopefully inspire a further love for music.
