The Musical Instrument Zoo!

30th August 2023

On Wednesday, 30th August, we had a fantastic Musical Instrument Zoo that gave our pupils a unique opportunity to explore and engage with a diverse array of musical instruments. Organised by the school's Music department, the event aimed to foster an appreciation for music, and to inspire our budding musicians to develop their musical talents.

Using both traditional and contemporary instruments, our experienced music teachers sampled popular songs using the varied range of instruments; playing enchanting melodies, showcasing different playing techniques, and answering questions from curious students.

One of the most exciting aspects of the Music Instrument Zoo was the opportunity for our aspiring musicians to try out the different instruments for themselves. Stations were set up for hands-on experience, allowing students to touch, feel, and play the instruments under the guidance of teachers. This hands-on approach ignited enthusiasm and curiosity among the attendees.

Pupils interested in developing their skills playing a particular instrument, or two, are encouraged to sign up for weekly lessons. More information can be obtained from all the relevant class teachers.
