The U11 IAPS Girls Cricket Tournament

On Saturday 12th November 2022, the U11 IAPS Girls Cricket Tournament took place at The Banda School. There was an air of excitement and wonder as teams from over 6 schools arrived, poised to take victory in the first ever girls cricket tournament hosted by the IAPS in Kenya.
It has been such a pleasure to see the girls embrace a sport they previously didn’t play, and to do so with such skill and enthusiasm. 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss in the group stages put Braeburn through to the semi finals to face The Banda’s A team, where the opposing team’s excellent bowling skills ended Braeburn’s quest for the coveted trophy. Congratulations to Olivia Mwangi, our captain, who was awarded the “Bowler of the Tournament”, selected by the umpires and coaches for her consistency in all our matches.
