The Under 11 Mixed Goodwin Tennis Cup

Braeburn’s Under 11s (Year 5 and 6) took part in the Goodwin Tennis Cup held at Peponi School on Friday, 30th June. We had two boys (Xiao Xiao and Matteo) and two girls (Aryanna and Tanaya) take part in the competition, all of them showing grit and determination to give each game their sweat, blood and tears despite very stiff competition.
Special mention goes to Xiao Xiao and Matteo for displaying very good sportsmanship and working brilliantly as a team. They were highly commended by their rivals’ coaches for the high standard of tennis that they displayed throughout the tournament.
All in all, it was a great performance by Braeburn’s Under 11 boys and girls, who are now determined to practise harder and come back bigger and better in next year’s Goodwin Cup.
