Three Wins and Plenty of Pride for U9 Rugby

4th June 2026

The Under 9 Rugby team delivered a determined and spirited performance at the IAPS Rugby Festival hosted by Braeburn Garden Estate on 4th June. The team began the day with a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Braeburn Nanyuki before producing an entertaining 20-20 draw against Pembroke House. Their first victory soon followed with a strong 20-10 win over St Andrew’s Turi, while a challenging encounter against the hosts ended in a 15-0 defeat.

The players responded brilliantly, bouncing back with impressive victories over Peponi (15-5) and Kenton College (15-10). In a closely contested final match against The Banda, Braeburn battled courageously but were denied by a last-minute try, narrowly losing 15-10. Finishing the festival with three wins, two draws, and two narrow defeats, the team demonstrated excellent resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day. They represented the school with pride and can be extremely proud of their efforts.
