19th September 2025
From the 15th to the 19th of September, Year 7 had an unforgettable residential trip to Batian’s View in Naro Moru, Kenya. The experience was packed with adventure, teamwork, and plenty of laughter — and who better to tell the story than the pupils themselves?
“The screamer was the most thrilling part of the trip!” said Malaika, with Felix adding, “Especially when you had to catch the bar from that high tree!” The ziplining seemed to be a firm favourite. “The ziplining was extravagant!” reported Buruk, while Sidney couldn’t contain her excitement: “It was sooo fun when we went down the zipline — so fun I lost my voice!”
The adventure didn’t stop there. Abigail enthused, “The hike was cool and I liked the river crossings and playing in the river. The activities planned were super fun and the food was really good!” She also loved the challenge of “sleeping in shelters and cooking our own food,” which Delight agreed was “excellent.”
And it wasn’t just the activities that made the trip memorable — even the little surprises added to the excitement. “There were Safari ants close to my tent!!” laughed Samrawi.
The Year 7s came home tired but buzzing with stories, new skills and memories that will last a lifetime.
