We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students in this year’s UKMT Junior Maths Challenge, held on Thursday, 30th April 2026. Braeburn mathematicians earned an impressive 10 certificates overall, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving, logical reasoning, and mathematical thinking across the school.
The awards included three Gold Certificates, two Silver Certificates, and five Bronze Certificates. Dhairya (Year 8) achieved a Gold Certificate and was named ‘Best in School’, while Jinghan (Year 7) earned a Gold Certificate alongside the ‘Best in Year’ distinction. Arth (Year 8) also received a Gold Certificate. Silver Certificates were awarded to Eva (Year 8) and Alvaro (Year 7), while Bronze Certificates were achieved by Sylvia (Year 8), Abigail, Xinrui, Kaizer, and Brook (all in Year 7).
Adding to this remarkable success, Dhairya has been invited to participate in the prestigious Olympiad follow-on challenge on 9th June 2026, recognising exceptional mathematical ability at an international level. This is an outstanding accomplishment, and we wish him every success in the next stage of the competition.
Special mention also goes to Berenice, Robbert, Hiroatsu, Jeremy, Emily, and Aden, who earned Certificates of Participation. Every student represented Braeburn with dedication, resilience, and enthusiasm, making the school community immensely proud.
