Tudor Day – A Journey Back in Time!

8th October 2025

Our Year 6 pupils were whisked away to the fascinating world of Tudor England this week during our much-anticipated Tudor Day. The day began with excitement and colour as the children arrived dressed in beautiful, well-thought-out outfits that truly transported us back in time to the late Middle Ages. From noble ladies and kings to jesters and peasants, the creativity and attention to detail were simply remarkable.

Throughout the day, pupils took part in a variety of engaging activities that brought Tudor life vividly to life. They built their own Tudor houses, complete with distinctive timber frames and thatched roofs; illustrated what a Tudor sports day might have looked like; and enjoyed a competitive round of traditional Tudor games, showing great team spirit and laughter all around.

One of the highlights of the day was the joint fashion show with Year 3, who were celebrating their Ancient Egypt Day. It was a delightful fusion of history, creativity, and fun—Tudor royalty sharing the stage with Egyptian pharaohs and mummies made for quite the spectacle!

The pupils absolutely loved every moment of the day, immersing themselves in history through play, art, and imagination. A big thank you to everyone—staff, parents, and pupils—for making Tudor Day such a memorable and enriching experience.

It was truly a day fit for a king—or perhaps, a Tudor queen!
