Twende Shopping with Year 5!

On Wednesday 15th March and Thursday 16th March, Year 5 pupils and teachers had the opportunity to visit the Artcaffe on Rhapta Road in Westlands, Nairobi, as part of their Kiswahili topic work on shopping and conversations with different service providers.
Our enthusiastic Swahili speakers had an excellent opportunity to use the language in a practical setting, ordering a snack and a drink, as well as discussing the prices of their orders. Not only did they get to speak Swahili but they also exercised the independence to choose their meals. We had an absolutely amazing day, Shukran to the Artcaffe staff who were patient with our pupils as they practiced their Swahili grammar!
