U11s Take to the Padel!

30th January 2026

The U11 team took part in their very first Padel Festival on Friday, 30th January 2026, hosted by St. Christopher School—and what a fantastic introduction it was! The children arrived buzzing with excitement, and the atmosphere throughout the day was energetic, positive, and full of enthusiasm.

In the boys’ category, Harman and Yibo (Year 6) led the way as our first pair, with Lancelot (Year 5) and Kazuma (Year 6) forming a strong second pair. For the girls, Hikari and Mariel (Year 6) competed as the first pair, while Naya and Ayanna (Year 5) teamed up as the second pair.

Our opening matches were against Banda, where both the boys’ and girls’ teams put in brave performances, narrowly losing their matches by just a single point—an incredible effort and a real sign of promise. We then faced the host school, St. Christopher, where we enjoyed a mixed set of results. Both our boys’ and girls’ top first pairs produced excellent wins, while the second pairs battled hard and were just edged out in closely contested matches.

Overall, it was an exciting and memorable festival, full of learning, competition, and smiles. Most importantly, the children had a brilliant time experiencing Padel—one of the fastest-growing sports in the world—and took their first steps in what promises to be a very exciting journey in the game.
