U12 Football Festival

18th June 2022

The boys were really excited for the tournament, having not played much football since October during school. Due to illness the boys team were restricted to 8, meaning they only had one sub. The boys showed discipline in the first game, getting a hard fought 0-0 draw against Braeside A team. The boys gained great confidence from this opening result, leading to two wins in the next 2 fixtures against Braeburn Imani (2-0) and Cavina A (1-0). The effort from the first three games eventually took its toll on the boys, with a disappointing 0-0 draw against Braeside C and a final group game defeat to St Austins (1-0).

The boys were unlucky to miss out on a semi final spot by one win. All these schools that the Braeburn played against play football all year round and train regularly, this shows how well the boys did. The boys were a great credit to the school, demonstrating excellent sportsmanship and dedication throughout the tournament. Well done boys on a great performance!
