Under 11 Teams Fight Hard @ IAPS Football Tournament

The Under 11 Boys and Girls represented school with pride and skill at the IAPS Football Tournament, held at Brookhouse School on Saturday, November 9th. The Girls' team had an impressive run in the group stages, securing wins of 1-0 against Kenton, 1-0 against The Banda, and 2-0 against Brookhouse B, with a solid 0-0 draw against St. Andrew's, Turi. Topping their group, they advanced to the semi-finals against BGE, where a nail-biting match ended 0-0 and led to a tense penalty shootout. Though narrowly edged out by BGE, the girls rallied in the bronze medal match, defeating Peponi 3-0 to secure a well-earned third place.

The Boys’ team showed strong determination, starting the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Peponi, a 0-0 tie with St.Andrew's, Turi, a 1-0 victory over The Banda, and a narrow 1-0 loss to Brookhouse. Although they missed the semi-finals by just two points, their teamwork and perseverance were evident throughout the day.

Both teams left the tournament with great accomplishments, building confidence and camaraderie for future matches.
