Under 13 Girls Rugby Teams Hone Skills and Gain Experience @ The Banda Warm-Up

24th May 2024

The girls 1st and 2nd rugby teams embarked on an exciting trip to The Banda for a series of "warm up" matches in preparation for the highly anticipated Ndume 7s, set to take place on June 15th. Each team played four matches, showcasing their skills and determination on the field. The 1st team demonstrated a strong performance in their matches, securing victories in three out of four games. They started the day by defeating BGE with a score of 1-0, and later triumphed over Banda B with an impressive 3-0 win. Despite a tough 1-0 loss to Banda A, the team bounced back with a solid 2-0 victory against Peponi B.

The 2nd team faced a more challenging set of opponents but showed commendable resilience throughout their matches. In the first round, they experienced a narrow 1-0 loss to Peponi and managed to hold Brookhouse to a draw. The second round proved to be tougher, with the team facing a 2-0 defeat against both Kenton and Banda B. Despite the setbacks, the experience gained from these matches will undoubtedly serve as valuable preparation for the upcoming Ndume 7s. Both teams are now more focused and determined, ready to refine their strategies and improve their performance for the big event.
