On 21st November, the Under 9A girls and boys cricket teams concluded their season with the Kenton Cricket Festival, delivering impressive performances that reflected their dedication and hard work during training. Competing against The Banda, Kenton and Pembroke schools, the boys showcased strong bowling and batting skills, making it difficult for opponents to score and consistently picking up wickets. Their efforts in setting competitive totals and chasing targets highlighted their growth throughout the short season.
The Under 9 girls' team also displayed commendable determination, securing a well-deserved victory against Kenton (38–28), narrowly losing to Pembroke by one run (20–21), and battling hard against The Banda (24–35). Their performances reflected resilience and progress, with each match contributing to their development as players.
Both teams demonstrated remarkable sportsmanship and improvement, representing the Braeburn shield with pride. As the season comes to an end, their strides in skill and understanding of the game pave the way for a promising future in cricket.
