Valentine’s Bake Sale

12th February 2024

In coordination with the Senator team the community service hosted our annual Valentine' day sale on Friday ( 9th February). In an effort to both celebrate and share love this season, we organised an order of roses and chocolate covered strawberries for high-school students and a large sale on Friday. The sale was open throughout the day to all students, with stalls selling food and drinks from some of Nairobi's favoured fast food chains. To get parents involved we sold roses to parents in the early morning. As this is a community service event the purpose of the event was to make profit that goes to community service initiatives with different charities.

The colours of the roses we sold were labelled to represent the different types of love we celebrate: friendship, mentorship from our staff and of course romance. With both anonymous and self deliveries of orders made in the last two weeks, many members of the community had a chance to both receive and express their appreciation for those around us.

The day ran flawlessly with students coming into school dressed in white, pink, red and black. The stalls were brimming with activity over the course of lunch and break as students enjoyed snacks and drinks.

And on the part of both the community service and Senator team we would like to thank parents, students and everyone else involved in the making of this day. We wish you a happy Valentine's day!
