The boys played a well-drilled RVA side today. RVA played well throughout with BGR having some good moments in the game. Not a great performance from the boys but the reflection has been good and we hope to get down the fundamentals of the game. Final score RVA 24-0 BGR. Followed by a friendly of 10’s

Girls rugby started off on a positive note. The final score against RVA 17-17 which for their first ever match is a great start. Standout performances from Carmen, Megumi and Amie who all scored (Megumi also successfully converted the last try of the day). Also special mention to Malaika for outstanding work rate during the game as well.
Whole team deserves credit for putting in a great performance in their first ever contact rugby match.

U15 Girls Basketball Tournament @ Hillcrest
Our U15 girls played at their first tournament of the term at Hillcrest. Unfortunately, the girls were unable to make it past the group stages. While wins may have been scarce, their journey at the tournament was a testament to their unity and commitment to growth. Each game served as a building block for their next, showcasing their unwavering dedication to the sport and each other.
Debora O, was voted the teams' tournament's MVP, for her stellar defensive skills. Her contributions on the court exemplified Braeburn's sports spirit and determination.

U15 Boys Rugby 7-Aside Vs BGE @BGR - Monday, 13th May
The boys U14s Rugby played against BGE this afternoon. It was a great game to watch with back to back action. Unfortunately it ended in favour of BGE with a 30-27 win. A very tight game but lots of progress made with our players. Special mention to Sekani with 3 tries and a conversion, Spencer 1 try and Mubashir 1 try. Great efforts from Imtiaz, Musyoka and Kaleb as well as improvements in play from Mubashir and Dylan.

U15 7-Aside Rugby Tournament @Brookhouse Karen
The semifinal against Hillcrest was tightly contested, Braeburn had most of the possession and were denied two tries by fantastic cover defence. A missed tackle by Braeburn led to the only try of the match. Muriuki Mwirigi intelligently kicked and chased the ball to equalize under the posts but the ball was deemed out.
Final score 5-0 to Hillcrest

Girls U15 rugby triangular against RVA and Shamas.
The girls started the day off with a well earned win against RVA 12-0. Tries from Amie and Megumi plus a Megumi conversion giving us those extra 2 points.
Our match against Shamas unfortunately didn’t go in our favour, ending 15-0 to them. But the girls left the field with heads held high from a tough faught battle. Shamas was a very physical side but our team really rose to the challenge. A great experience and great match lessons taken from today.

Boys U15 Rugby did not have the best of days at the Hillcrest tournament today but did well considering the competition they were up against. They lost the first 2 games in the group stages of the tournament against Greensteads and Braeside. Lots of missed tackles in conceding trys but by the 3rd game they really stepped up and bought home a 7-5 victory against ISK with a try from Hesham and a successful conversion from Jeremy. In the last game we were defeated by a strong RVA side who went on to win the tournament. We started off really well with purpose and intensity but just could not withstand the pressure from RVA. Lots learned and some great moments from the boys. Special mention to Mubashir, Imtiaz, Kailan and Dylan for their efforts today.
