Last Saturday, after a two-year, Covid-induced absence, our excited scholars made their way to the buzzing auditorium at Brookhouse. Our scholars, who included Advait Panchbhai (Year 8), Ananya Pundir (Year 7), Faith Muchabaiwa (Year 7), Bashir Ahmad (Year 7), Lison Petit Piton (Year 6), Kavan Kislaya (Year 6), Aamir Hitawala (Year 6), Atharva Gautam (Year 6), Khalid Abdi (Year 6), were all eager to excel in the different challenges. They joined hundreds of other scholars from all over Kenya to compete for honors during the competition with numerous awards as well as a chance to qualify for the different global rounds at stake.
On the first day, our scholars participated in the Team Debate, Collaborative Writing and the Scholars Challenge, while the Scholars’ Bowl, Debate Showcase and Talent Competition came on the second day.
Despite having some of the youngest scholars at the competition, and all of them being first time debutants, our scholars braved the gruelling academic challenges with lots of bravery, courage and optimism.
In the closing ceremony all our scholars earned gold and silver medals as well as certificates and a qualifying spot at any of the global rounds this year. Our scholars displayed all round commitment, impeccable behaviour and impressive team spirit as they represented Braeburn during this competition. We are very proud of them! Congratulations to our scholars for all their hard work.
