Year 10 Art Coursework – Drawing from First-Hand Experience

24th January 2026

This week in the High School Creative Department, Year 10 student Natalie has been developing her abstract coursework piece inspired by her recent visit to the animal orphanage. Working from her own firsthand photograph, she is exploring expressive colour and bold texture to bring the character of the lion to life on canvas.

Focused and fully immersed in her process, Natalie continues to refine her mark-making and composition skills while learning how personal experiences can influence and elevate artistic outcomes. We are proud to see her confidence growing as she translates observation into creative interpretation.
