30th September 2024
On Friday, the 20th September, the Year 10s were treated to a marvellous peer-run assembly from our very own Form 10B. We kicked off the assembly with the national anthem played by Dhara Shah (10N) before diving straight into an eye-opening presentation on the Braeburn value of ‘Humility’ brought to us by Rania Mughal and Sofia Farrukh (10B). They took us through everything we needed to know on the subject, accompanied by a dazzling musical interlude from Han Akot, who gave us a touching rendition of the cult classic "My Way" by Frank Sinatra. Our very own ‘Effervescence’ also took the stage to deliver a heartwarming performance of Joy Again’s "Looking Out for You," featuring Marty Ketel (10S) on vocals, Sofia Farrukh (10B) on bass guitar, Kailan Zanrosso (10H) on drums, and last but certainly not least, Darya Burgess (10S), who captivated us with a thrilling performance of her monologue. After concluding the presentations from our peers, we moved on to a talk given by our school counsellor, Mehreen Farrukh, reminding us of the importance of kindness (another Braeburn value!) both within and outside of school grounds. Following Mrs. Farrukh’s insightful presentation, Head of Year Ms. Muugi shared exciting news about our new influencers. A special congratulations to all our new influencers; we look forward to seeing the positive impact you will make in our school community!
