Year 12 Service Days: Giving Back

28th June 2025

This week, our Year 12 students wholeheartedly embraced two Service Days, dedicated to giving back and making a positive impact within the school community.

The programme began with a warm and welcoming Community Breakfast on Thursday morning, a time to connect, reflect, and energise for the day ahead. Students then split into teams to support various school projects. Some edited media for the Year 8 production, while others created thoughtful staff appreciation cards in the Sixth Form common room. Behind the scenes, another group ensured the EYFS show ran smoothly, supporting our youngest performers.

As the day unfolded, students contributed creatively to PE tournament displays, ran sign language sessions for Year 6, and volunteered across the campus from cleaning at the animal shelter to organising the library and helping clear classrooms in 5J.

Friday offered even more opportunities. Students worked on display boards, maths materials, and classroom organisation with Mr. Kasidhi. Others brought energy to the Nursery garden, supported Primary maths lessons, and assisted in science classrooms. Under Ms. Chege’s guidance, one team also designed beautiful MFL displays.

The Service Days culminated with a tree planting initiative led by Mr. Njagi, leaving a lasting green legacy for our school.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 12s for their enthusiasm, maturity, and teamwork. Their efforts have made a meaningful difference, and the positive feedback from staff across the school reflects just how valued their contributions have been.
