Year 1’s Royal Banquet!

26th March 2026

At the end of term 2, Year 1 celebrated the culmination of our ‘Kings and Queens’ topic by hosting a magnificent royal banquet. We began the day with a costume parade, showcasing the incredible effort and creativity from both pupils and parents. It was wonderful to see a wide range of kings, queens, and notable leaders from around the world brought to life. The costumes provided an exciting starting point for learning, inspiring imaginative role play and deeper exploration of historical figures.

We then moved on to prepare for our royal banquet by creating decorations, baking scones, and organising entertainment. The preparation was just as enjoyable as the event itself. The celebration was filled with dancing, performances, and a feast fit for royalty. It was a truly memorable way to bring our topic to a close.
