Year 2 Celebrates the World in a Mini World Cup!

On Tuesday 24th June, our Year 2 pupils joined their counterparts at Braeburn Garden Estate for a special Mini World Cup event to mark the end of our assessments. It was a fantastic way to celebrate together through sport, teamwork and friendly competition.
Our school proudly represented Belgium, the United States of America, Cameroon, Senegal, the Netherlands, Wales, Germany and Japan, while BGE fielded teams such as Portugal, Argentina, England, Brazil, Spain and France.
The Year 2s threw themselves into the day with incredible energy — whether they were seasoned footballers or just excited to be part of the action! There were last-minute tactics, dramatic goal celebrations, fancy footwork and even a few impromptu dance moves mid-match. Everyone gave it their best and showed fantastic team spirit from the first whistle to the final cheer.
Well done to our footballers, you were all stars on and off the pitch!
