Year 2 Visit a Fire Station

To conclude learning on ‘The Great Fire of London’ and to extend knowledge of firefighters, Year 2s visited the KK Security training school, where they got hands-on-experience on fire safety. They witnessed how firefighters use their fire trucks in an emergency, listening intently as they toured every nook and cranny of a fire engine. They were also shown the different types of equipment and tools that firemen use to fight fires and rescue people. The excitement on their faces as they rode on the fire engine and ambulance was palpable!
All in all, it was a fun-filled, informative experience which saw many Year 2s declaring their intention to be firefighters when they grow up!
