11th February 2026
On Wednesday, February 11th, Year 2 enjoyed an educational visit to Nairobi National Park. Arriving under clear skies, the children embarked on an early game drive to maximise their time in the park. This experience was designed to bring their classroom learning in Science and Geography to life through real-world observation.
The morning was filled with exciting sightings, starting with a lively group of baboons at the entrance. As the buses moved deeper into the park, pupils spotted giraffes, zebras, white rhinos, and crocodiles near the water. The undisputed highlight of the day was the rare sight of a single lion sleeping high in a tree, a moment that left the entire group in silent awe.
Throughout the safari, pupils compared different species in their natural habitats, deepening their understanding of biodiversity and conservation. The trip provided a wonderful opportunity for shared discovery and curiosity. It was a day of lasting memories that gave the students a newfound appreciation for Kenya’s remarkable wildlife.
