Year 3 Adventure in Oloolua Forest

3rd July 2021

Squeals of delight and excitement permeated through the Braeburn buses, as Year 3 ventured out on their first ‘out of school’ trip this year; the greatly awaited adventure to Oloolua Forest in Karen. Led by the Infinity Outdoors team, children explored and experienced fresh air and nature by trekking on the paths, learning about the layers of the dry, rain-forest habitat and the various animals and plants that reside there. Children were able to apply their knowledge and made impressive observations. The trip coincided perfectly as we had celebrated World Environment Day.

After the hike, children went to a much deserved lunch at Carnivore Restaurant where they feasted outside and then played in a colourful play area that resembled a palace in a children’s wonderland. They did not want to leave. One simple quote sums up the enthusiasm of the trip,“This is the best day ever!”

Despite only two weeks remaining of school, Year 3 children are already requesting their next trip.
