11th October 2023
On Wednesday 11th October, the Year 3’s celebrated Ancient Egyptian Day. It was a celebration of what our pupils had been learning during the first half of the term; the Ancient Egyptian civilization and its impact on the world. The celebration day involved a fashion show, showcase of beautiful Egyptian dioramas made by our artistic Year 3s, hieroglyphics, art, and concluded with a treat of watching 'The Mummy' movie in the Big Theatre.
Here’s what a few pupils had to say about the experience:
“My favourite part was when we wrote our names in the ancient Egyptian way.” Loyo
“Today was fun because we watched a movie, drew a sacred beetle, had a parade, made a bookmark and had lots of fun with my friends.” Ivana
“My favourite thing today was when we drew an Egyptian sacred beetle.” Mai
